PROFESSIONAL SCUBA COURSES

Picture
The courses in black bubbles are professional level courses available for divers wanting to make a career as a dive leader in the growing scuba industry. Any questions about what your next options are? Contact Sea Sports Belize and start your class today!

Divemaster

This is the entry level of PADI Pros.  Here you can lead dives and assist instructors and also start teaching Scuba Review, once qualified the Discover Scuba Course, and become an instructor for Digital Underwater Photography!

EFR Instructor

The Emergency First Response Course is open to non-divers and is a prerequisite for becoming a PADI Instructor.

Instructor

DMs ready for the next step prepare themselves in the Instructor Development Course, perhaps the most respected scuba instructor course available.  Become a PADI Instructor and you'll be in demand and able to find a job immediately!

Specialty Instructor

Continuing education is a cornerstone of the PADI education system.  This goes for instructors too!  Keep learning (and teaching!) after you become a PADI Instructor and teach specialties that interest your divers and you'll make more money too!

IDC Staff Instructor

IDC Staff Instructors are qualified to teach PADI Assistant Instructors.  To qualify you'll need to attend another IDC and assist the Course Director in training IDC Candidates.  Becoming an IDC Staff Instructor is a great way to refresh your knowledge of PADI Standards.

Master Scuba Diver Trainer

If you have taught 25 students and have 5 specialty instructor ratings you can apply for the MSDT.  Employers will respect your dedication knowing you are able to teach a variety of specialties to their customers.

Master Instructor

If you've taught more than 150 students, staffed 3 IDCs, and adhere to the PADI system of diver education you are on your way to becoming a Master Instructor!  This is the last step in the PADI ladder before becoming a PADI Course Director!

Course Director

This is the highest professional level in the PADI system of diver education.  Course Directors can train PADI Divemaster to become PADI Instructors, Instructor Specialty Courses, including MSDT and IDC Staff.

Use the table below to chart your path as you embark
on a new career in the growing scuba diver industry!
