Lamanai Maya Ruins

The Maya appropriately named their site Lamanai or "Submerged Crocodile."  Lamanai sits in the edge of the New River Lagoon and getting there is like traversing any jungle river you've seen in the Tarzan movies, filled with endangered Morelet's crocodiles, endemic only to Central America.
