DIVE DETAILS FACT SHEET FOR CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS
Arrival in Belize & Directions to our Shop
You will arrive by tender at the Belize Tourism Village.  Belize City cruise ship passengers must
tender into port since the water is not deep enough for the ships to pull up to dock.   Our shop is
located less than one block west of the Tourism Village along the main street. Once you reach
the Tourism Village, exit the "Pirate Terminal" and take a left. Stay on the main road.  Just as you
turn the bend you should be able to see our 3 story building with a dive flag flying from the roof
and dive flag signs on the ground floor where our office is located.  In fact, if you know where to
look, you can see the dive flag when arriving by tender.  If you look towards the city, or west, you
will see two flags flying.  The taller one to the left is flown by the Courthouse, and ours is to the
right.

Pre-dive checklist
Once you reach our shop you will need to present your c-card, complete our dive application, and
set up your first tank.  We take out small groups of no more than 8 divers and work with larger
groups on request.  We schedule our departure time for 9:30 am Belize time, which is CST in the
winter.  We do adjust departure times to coincide with a ship's time in port, so this does change
from season to season as daylight savings time is adjusted.  Your confirmation sheet will have
the departure time of your trip.

To the Barrier Reef
We have some excellent dive sites along Belize's Barrier Reef less than 30 minutes from Belize
City.  The boat ride to the reef heads through the offshore barrier islands and often we see
dolphins along the way.  Once we reach the reef we stop inside for a dive briefing and get our
gear ready.    We have hundreds of great dive sites along the reef between Gallow's Point and
Sergeant's Caye.  Some of our more popular sites are Mermaid’s Castle, Chub Change and Lost
Anchor.  These are wall dives with magnificent spur and groove formations.  In addition to seeing
lots of colorful tropical fish and hard and soft corals, we also see turtles, rays, morays and
sharks!

A PADI Divemaster will guide you on two spectacular multilevel dives.  We anchor in about 35
feet, descend, and head east to the drop off.  Once we reach the drop-off we descend to 60 feet
for 20 minutes, then ascend to 40 feet for 20 minutes.  Sometimes the dives are a bit longer,
sometimes a bit shorter.  It depends on how quickly divers consume their air, and how much
time we have before we need to get you back to the ship.  At the end of each dive we do a safety
stop at 15 feet for 3 minutes and have a surface interval of at least one hour during which time we
have lunch.  We need a minimum of four hours to do two dives, but more time is better since we
can have longer dives and a longer surface interval.  At the end of the day we drop you off directly
at the ship.

Cost
A two-tank dive on Belize's Barrier Reef is $110 per person.  Included in this rate are tanks,
weights, sandwiches, juice/water and fruit. BC and regulator rental are additional at $22.00.

How to Confirm
To confirm diving we have a Credit Card Authorization form that we will attach in an email for you
to complete and fax back.

Cancellation Policy
We offer full refunds if your ship doesn't reach Belize during the week scheduled, and if the
weather is not conducive to diving.  Bad weather is heavy rain and strong winds.
