The Big One & J&R Wall
A South Gallow's Point Reef there was a
thermocline today to about 20 feet. Thermoclines
are caused by wind patterns and this one can be
attributed to a strong north wind that past over
Belize earlier this week. Sightings include an
endangered hawksbill , green moray eel, goldentail
moray eel, and a Nassau and black grouper! Good
day!

The Lounge & J&R Wall
At South Gallow's Point we saw a large nurse
shark! This is great news since these animals are
very important in the reef food chain. Nurse
sharks, also known as sleeping sharks are
harmless, unless of course they are molested then
they will only try to defend themselves. We
usually sight nurse sharks "sleeping" in the spur
and groove channels on our Barrier Reef dive
sites.
